Title: Product Owner/Manager

Shannon Nagaoka has 6+ years of software product management and agile project management experience. She is a Certified Scrum Product Owner® (CSPO®), Certified ScrumMaster® (CSM®), and Agile practitioner. She is currently pursuing her Master of Science in Quantitative Management (MSQM) at NYU Stern, and comes with additional tech skills, such as a proficiency with SQL, R, Tableau, Databricks, Excel for data management and analysis; proficiency with Figma, Balsamiq, Lucidchart for creating low-/high-fidelity wireframes, mockups, and rapid prototyping for UX/UI design and user testing; Jira, Confluence, Bitbucket, Git, for software development project management; and a basic knowledge of Python, JavaScript, and HTML/CSS.

While not limited to tech, she began her professional career in marketing and advertising, with a mix of both in-house and agency roles of over 5 years. Her agency experience consisted of being in both client-facing (account executive) and production roles (interactive project management) at large agencies, such as T Brand Studio (The New York Times' in-house brand marketing agency) and MVNP (an Affiliate Agency of DDB Worldwide), and at small, nimble boutique agencies. In-house marketing experience consisted of building, maintaining and executing strategies for brand development and integrated marketing for companies across various industries, including media (broadcast, publishing), education, food & beverage, nonprofits, and energy & renewables. 

Shannon is eager to leverage her unique blend of skills, certifications, and an empathetic, data-driven approach to drive innovation for streaming technologies and AdTech within the media and tech sectors.
