I have been an avid evangelist in Scrum ever since I first experienced the use of Scrum while evaluating a backlog management tool called TFS 2005. I was first exposed to Scrum while investigating how a tool could improve our waterfall software development projects. I was enamored with the concept of an easy to adopt Scrum framework that was difficult to master. Over time, I came to realize the Scrum framework should come first, not the tool. I have since been a Scrum Master, Product Owner, Scrum Trainer and Scrum Coach for 1000+ team members, POs, SMs, and stakeholders spanning 30+ teams in a top 100 company in the Fortune 500.
