Originally, I started my career as a geriatric social worker bringing together community resources to meet the needs of my clients. I really loved leading a Meals-on-Wheels program and I’m sure I’ll return to that when I retire but it wasn’t allowing me to support my family

Fortunately, I found I was able to transition quite seamlessly into software development as a consultant. I moved into classical project management at a government agency going so far as to earn the Project Management Professional (PMP) certification. Increasingly I became disillusioned with the overhead of traditional project management and moved toward more agile approaches, finally settling upon the Scrum framework.

Currently, I focus on implementing technological improvements at medium sized companies. Typically I work as either a scrum master with an on-site development team or as the externally facing product owner with an offshore one.
