I began my technology career as a software engineer, developing compilers for embedded microprocessors and programming motion controllers for use in industrial automation. As I became more aware of the human side of software development, and as I began to explore improvisational theatre, I became more interested in ways of working that took the fact that humans were doing it into account. After several years as a dual-hatted developer and Scrum Master, in 2013 I took the plunge and became a full-time Agile Coach, leaving coding behind (though I still have opinions -- useful and otherwise -- about technical practices).
