Over the last 2 decades I have been privileged enough to advance my career in a number of different business and IT disciplines; from developing software solutions and implementing business change, through to building and leading highly effective software engineering teams, driving product development, solutions architecture and service delivery. Throughout this time, I have been - and still am - passionate about software and technology; how they bring value, how they solve problems, how they are used, how they are delivered and ultimately helping and encouraging those who deliver technology solutions to do the best job they possibly can. I'm a certified scrum master, signatory to the agile manifesto and active advocate of using agile methodologies and ways of working to improve the effectiveness of teams; be that XP, lean, scrum, kanban or a combination of them all. I have documented some of my knowledge and experiences in my book “Continuous delivery and DevOps: A quickstart guide” published by Packt Publishing – now in it’s second edition.
