Peter Janssens

Peter is a Scrum trainer and agile catalyst for organisations that aim for excelling product developments. Peter helps individuals, teams and agile leaders to generate outperforming impact and wonderful results collaborating in Scrum or in the context of other agile or lean approaches.

Experience

Peter has experience in the software industry since 1996, where he have held several positions ranging from analysis & development to project & product ownership, coaching and managerial responsibilities.

Peter is also an entrepreneur and business developer. He co-founded iLean, a happy workplace consultancy company. And later he co-created TextTheButler, a start-up initiative.

Trainer & coach

Peter's personal ambition with each trainee or coachee is to search and find together that insight or change that will help to deliver more valuable results earlier and more frequently, and have fun. 

Peter is a freelancer based in Ghent, Belgium. He coaches and guides teams, and has experience in guiding product owners and different supporting manager roles. As a trainer, he has a materials toolbox ready to offer a wide range of Scrum and agile related trainings from the back of the room. He is also an experience workshop facilitator.

Studies & certifications

He holds bachelor degrees at the University of Louvain-la-Neuve (Belgium) in applied economics sciences and in accounting. He completed studies at Vlerick Business School (ICT management track).

He continued trainings in several additional skills and complementary areas like Java programming, group- and visual facilitation techniques, agile leadership tracks, etc...

Peter is a Certified Agile Leadership I program (CALI) certified, Certified Scrum Practitioner (CSP), Certified Scrum Master (CSM), Certified Scrum Product Owner (CSPO) and a Less certified Practitioner.

His special focus goes to scaling of Scrum and to the Product Owner role.
