Pascal Gugenberger, Agile Coach and Senior Solution Architect at it-economics, has studied computer science in Berlin, Germany and Berkeley, CA, USA.
After his graduation he joined a start-up in Berlin as software developeer, later taking responsibility for the core software development department. During this time he learned about Scrum, and soon after his CSM certification in 2005 the development team switched successfully to Scrum under his guidance as Scrum Master. In the following years he supported several agile teams as Scrum Master, Team Member, and later also as Product Owner, finally initiating and leading an agile transition for the whole company.
The decision to focus his career more on the use and teaching of agile values and practices lead Pascal to switch from product development into a consulting environment. In 2009 Pascal joined it-economics, where he was able to to continuously work on engagements with an agile focus. In several development projects in an enterprise setting he further broadened his experience, mostly as Scrum Master, Agile Lead Developer or Agile Coach.
At present, Pascal balances practical work as Scrum Master and Software Architect with Agile Teaching and Coaching engagements.
