Michael Wood
About
Mike Wood has been working inside and with Scrum and Agile environments since 2010. He currently leads a portfolio of three major products through the development life cycle and into maintenance and enhancement cycles. All of the teams reporting into Mike's organization operate inside the Scrum framework, delivering value in the form of product increments every two weeks. Mike got started in Agile philosophies in the world of Natural Language Model (NLM) research projects focused on short iterations to prove out advanced techniques in Human Emulation. In 2011, Mike began working with Scrum teams to develop consistent and efficient methods of delivering value in short cycles by improving engineering practices. From 2013 to 2014, Mike transitioned from working with Scrum teams in delivery to building a 3 Scrum organization to streamlining Sales, Demo and Proof of Concept efforts as the VP of Inception. In 2014, he moved back to Delivery, building a set of Scrum teams focused on delivering NLMs to international markets until he moved to Capital Insurance Group in 2015. Since then Mike has been working with 5 Scrum teams, reinforcing practices and providing upper management level support to deliver high value products in short sustainable cycles.
