About
Mikko Tuohimaa
I write software that makes hardware click. I co-design hardware that enables the software to do fascinating things. I'm the glue that connects the two, and sometimes I design and implement the whole signal chain from the hardware through an MCU onto a PC screen or into the cloud.
Few things are more interesting than seeing your code in action in the field. The ultimate goal has to be in creating a solution that is not only working but also maintainable and suitable for mass manufacturing.
I'm passionate about tinkering and exploring what can and can't be done. I find great pleasure in discovering clever yet simple solutions to complex problems and I value a good, fun team around me. Even though I'm inclined to software, most of all I'm a systems engineer: it's never just about software, hardware, mechanics or anything else - all the pieces play a part and they must all be understood in order to achieve excellence.
