I consider myself a practitioner of SCRUM principles outside of IT, and see real value in this tool in any category in our every increasing dynamic world (not just IT). Net, I'm a SCRUM for ALL persons. My experience in this is from working on or leading multiple small self managing work teams in start ups, ranging from large scale brewing operations (Miller Brewing), to new business development areas of R&D at Procter and Gamble (P&G). I've seen and experienced the real value of this in faster cycle time, incorporating in real time client/stakeholder feedback vs. more traditional project management techniques. After reading Jeff Sutherland's SCRUM "The Art of Doing Twice the Work in Half the Time", in the summer of 2015, I decided that I wanted Jeff to train me, to become SCRUM certified, so that I truly understood ALL the principles. I completed his two day training class in November, 2015. Today, I use SCRUM Mastery methodology in my own business, as my project management tool, so that I can get more dynamic feedback from my clients, set expectations, and deliver.
