Marco Antonio López Noyola

I am Marco López, 44 years old, and from Monterrey, Nuevo León. I enjoy to learn about new technologies and gadgets, and stopping for a while and watch TV series in Netflix / play football soccer/ play with my sons and daughter.

I am Ingeniero Mecánico Administrador that in english would be the equivalent to Bachelor of Science Mechanical Engineering and Business Administration.

I started working at Atlatec dedicated to do projects for city and industrial water treatment plants, I learned about: quality, engineering, construction, plans, specifications, budget control, etc., after some years (2yrs) I moved to my next challenge in the industry of energy, working for Gas Natural Mexico where I was working (almost 3 yrs) again with projects managing mainly budget and new maintenance projects with third parties, my lessons learned was: how the gas business works, technical knowledge about gas, SAP implementations.

Right after Gas Natural, I jumped to the technology world, I was invited to start a new challenge and I cofound Diacesis, a company dedicated to develop software and specifically a HIS (Hospital Information System), I learned many things, without the awareness I was practicing agile, and that happened because I had the objective not to fail. I was almost 8 years with Diacesis, then a crisis comes to Mexico and we had to stop. Learnings: work teams creation, user management, agile work, hardware selection and implementations, Software deployment, SQL, reporting software, manage client expectations, etc.

With the amount of experience I gathered during Diacesis I had the opportunity to join Softtek and they assigned me to work with CitiBanamex belonging of Citi Group, I was there for almost 9 years and during the first year I was hired by Citibanamex that was also a new school for me, in my career, I started working with projects for the CTI (Citi Technology and Infrastructure) area I did a lot of projects all related with Technology, from Network, storage, servers implementations to projects closer to development. Was in this time when I was attracted by the agility philosophy. Regrettably in 2016 my life in Citibanamex took an unexpected path due PMO was moved to Mexico City, I had to leave CitiBanamex, My lessons learned: enterprise projects, multicounty stakeholders management, multicultural teams creations, many technologies from mainframe to distributed technologies and also cloud.

Fortunately after I leave Citi I started working with BANREGIO and took the position of Business Architect, this was wonderful because I could practice all my experience working very close with the business stakeholders and close to technology teams, I practiced here scrum framework, playing the role as Scrum Master and Product Owner, I really enjoyed this job, then a close friend invited me to join with him in projects with ALNUS, where I executed some more projects in my list, lastly SOFTTEK called me again and invited me to work with them again for a specific client, in order to define a methodology to manage the portfolio of projects. During this challenge, I was very close with peers also creating frameworks to apply agility to new initiatives for the group.

Nowadays I am still with SOFTTEK and I decided to execute any challenge with agility I know now that the natural way to create something it is better using agile ways and not mechanical and traditional ways.
