Kim Nielsen

I am a Software Architect, Designer, Lead Programmer and agile process practitioner. I’ve been working with OOA/OOD/OOP since 1994 and have a firm knowledge of implementation with C++ and Java. Since 2000 my focus has been on J2EE, participating in all phases of the project lifecycle and acting in various roles such as Technical project manager, Architect, Designer, Developer and Mentor on all tiers of the technical landscape.I have extensive experience with various methodologies and processes both as participant and Coach / Mentor in projects.

I was introduced to XP in 2002 by the guys at Object Mentor - Robert Martin (Uncle Bob) and Ron Jeffries - in an immersion style course, and afterwards I implemented it on my first agile project. Shortly after, I was introduced to Scrum at an OOPSLA conference, and became "hooked" immediately. Since then, Scrum has been the process of choice, but I still augment the toolbox with some of the practices found in XP (like for example the planning game).
