John Price is a certified ScrumMaster and agile proponent with over 18 years of experience building enterprise Web applications using a variety of tools, most recently Microsoft .NET and SQL Server. He was introduced to Scrum in 2006 and has been evangelizing it in the workplace ever since. He attended the Agile 2008 conference in Toronto and regularly contributes his thoughts about Scrum to various internet discussion groups.
He currently manages multiple development teams building cloud-based apps at LexisNexis. From 2008-2015 he worked as a manager and senior developer at TowerCo, a cell tower management company that used technology to manage over $1.5 billion US in assets with a staff of 80. There he instituted a small-scale Scrum implementation and trained staff in Agile practices. Before that, he helped transition a team of over 50 developers from traditional "waterfall" methods to Scrum at ChannelAdvisor, a publicly traded e-commerce solution provider. He also spent 8 years at Peopleclick (now Peoplefluent), a leading provider of software in the HR space, where he was one of the first developers and helped the company grow from 15 employees to over 200. He worked directly with a number of Fortune 500 and other large clients in his various roles there.
In his spare time he is a tournament Scrabble player and musician.
