As an Agile Coach, I have trained 10 teams of size varying from 8 to 10 resources of each team including on-site and offshore in implementing Scrum and delivering the customer requirements through 3 quarterly releases. Coaching involved - teaching teams on Agile principles, Scrum values, ceremonies, artifacts, rules and roles. Transforming the teams from estimating the effort in hours to thinking in terms of story points, product backlog building, grooming/refining, prioritizing, releases planning, sprints planning and delivery through 2 to 3 weeks of sprints (graduated from 3 weeks when started to 2 weeks sprints as the teams matured in self-organizing and self-managing). Coached implementing continuous integration through improving the build process from manual to automation, implemented DevOps by improving the collaboration between Development and Operations teams. Leadership team was very much satisfied with the results and provided a complete support in progressing towards scaling the agile at the program level. Given my knowledge in scaled agile (SAFe Program Consultant and SAFe Agilist certified), coached the teams in SAFe principles, putting together the Portfolio and Program Backlogs, Program Increment planning, building and launching the Agile Release Trains. Overall, at the program level, coached around 200 resources through direct class room sessions and day to day on the job training.
Heavily involved in leadership training in Agile/Scrum and transforming the whole program towards Agility.

They were looking for a matured scrum master who can not only runs the projects by implementing the Agile but also mentors other inexperience scrum masters and team members. My job was to do day to day running of scrum teams meeting the business goals by helping the teams follow the Agile framework and also mentoring/coaching the new team members and educating the business teams wherever necessary.

This is a challenging assignment as dependant applications were executing the projects in waterfall model and I had to build my Sprint planning carefully considering the dependencies. Had to educate the newly formed product owners to understand and enjoy the benefits of being agile.

IBM recruited me to drive a large program consisting of 8 Scrum teams to build a huge independant software desktop system. I myself had to run 3 scrum teams as a Scrum Master while coordinating with other Scrum Masters of different work streams and representing different vendors. This gave me an opportunity of learning and implementing best practises from a variety of styles of implementing Agile framework. This also gave me an opportunity of initial phases of the project involving infrastructure set up to be done in first few sprints.
