Jeremy Cook, CSM and ICAgile certified facilitator, is an IT professional with over ten years experience. Currently, helping teams grow at Veterans United as an Agile Coach. Coaching teams using experience and agile processes to enable the team to become more than the sum of its parts. My agile journey began at the University of Missouri as a developer, after working my first project in waterfall I searched for a better way to develop and discovered agile. As one of the first certified scrum masters at the university, I drove an agile transformation within the applications development department. The universities portfolio consisted of almost a hundred applications written in a variety of languages. Introduced agile methodologies to enable the applications support team to be more responsive and effective. Informally trained over twenty university stakeholders on being product owners for their project. Stepped into the role of an agile leader, scrum master or product owner depending on the projects needs. Product Manager for the Universities mobile portfolio working with internal and external developers to meet departmental needs. Moving to Veterans United I assumed the role of an Agile Coach for our customer-facing applications. I provide coaching to teams in being agile to support the business needs. Backing up Scrum with extreme programming (XP) and DevOps practices. Always looking for new opportunities to learn and grow on my agile journey.
