With a varied experience in web development, I have held a wide array of roles over time across various industries (advertising, commerce, search and media, government) and team structures (size and geographies). In the process I have worked with a multitude of technologies and requirements on both client and server side, which today enables me to have a holistic view of web application design & architecture.

I like to believe effective software architecture should contribute towards reducing maintenance levels and development cycles whilst increasing scalability and application speed and performance. The real challenge in this lies in considering all existing infrastructures and their limitations, as well as time and resource restrictions. It is rare to have a blank canvas.

I have a reputation for thinking outside-the-box and often coming up with creative solutions. I attribute this to having a good understanding of and experience with all ingredients of web application development, ranging from system administration to server-side development and client-side scripting.
