James Ballard

James Ballard is a Certified Scrum Product Owner (CSPO) with 4 years experience using Agile software development. James moved to QSR International in January 2017 as a Product Owner and is currently developing qualitative research software including semantic analysis and visualisation. Originally from the UK, James came to Australia in January 2014 via Vietnam to work at Nine Lanterns, an e-Learning development company, and helped support their transition to an AGILE methodology. Nine Lanterns were acquired by Kineo in 2015 and James was the Product Owner for their LMS services. In the UK James worked at the University of London Computer Centre for over 6 years progressing from a developer and customer support agent through to a Senior Business Analyst and introducing SCRUM practices on several projects. James has experience working with teams on both cloud and windows desktop based applications and am  

James is a keen learner and is currently studying a PhD in learning analytics with methods that involve multi-method data and computational methods. James has completed post-graduate study and research in educational software design and evaluation and has specialised knowledge in complex system integration and personalised experiences.
