Gerald Soparkar

Gerald Soparkar is a Massachusetts native and recently moved back to the US settling in the Bay Area after 8 years working in Beijing, China.  In 2005 he made the jump from working in financial services and moved to Beijing. He had a mission to help Chinese employees and students with their professional development growth so they could stay competitive, advance their career and get empowered. He founded and managed a learning and development and executive coaching practice. Collaborating and partnering with stakeholders across global organziations expanded his project management skills.

Gerald has almost 25 years years in business in multiple levels. He spent 10 years consulting small businesses positioning and growing their brand, building outstanding customer service models and guiding them to an effective online presence.  As marketing manager for a language school in Boston he took action and drove results leading to new global partnerships and doubled student enrollment.

In Beijing, China, Gerald worked with amazing clients who trusted him to design, develop and deliver instructor led training and coaching sessions from start to completion. He's trained customer service teams, worked with Agile and Scrum teams, trained engineering interns, coached development teams, coached team leads and project managers from multiple industries, and taught MBA university courses to software engineers.  In 2008, Gerald was first introduced to Agile and Scrum when training at ThoughtWorks in Beijing, China and got immediately energized about it. Since then, he's been able to contribute his knowledge to teams and individuals using Agile and Scrum. 

Gerald has a strong business acumen along with the ability to use and understand technical areas, leadership skills and the background in managing projects on various levels and passion to make teams even better.
