Biography

Frode R. Helgesen was born in Trondheim, Norway. The vast majority of his career has centred on web development and web project management. Frode has served as a project manager on several projects for companies both inside and outside of Norway.

Today he lives in Stavanger, Norway, working as a Managing Consultant at Capgemini, as of October 2010 as a Project Manager at Statoil.

Frode holds a Masters degree in Computer Science from the University of Trondheim - NTNU.

Part of a group of 80+ people across 14 teams, working distributed from 5 cities on 2 continents, on an engagement for a global company in the oil and gas industry. The total engagement is the largest in the history of Capgemini Norway. In this engagement I was a scrum master for two teams and some shorter term-initiatives.

Project Manager / Scrum Master on two projects: 1) Plant Integrity - Improved Maintenance Management project where the goal is to develop an IT-tool in SAP that will assist in ensuring that Statoil performs maintenance according to both best practices and maintenance plans. 2) Project Manager / Scrum Master on the TIMP - IT solution project where the goal is to develop an IT-tool in SAP that will give Statoil an information work space (dashboard) where various indicators can be analysed and evaluated.
