Edwin Chan Teng Cheong

Edwin Chan: Specialises in designing value-for-money solutions to business problems, leveraging as much as possible on existing infrastructure so that customers can maximise their current investments. My current focus is on Microsoft technologies, in particular Microsoft SharePoint, although I have experience in designing solutions for a variety of platforms. I am a certified ScrumMaster, facilitating distributed teams, and optimizing the interactions between team members in the ASEAN region. Previously, I was a project manager in the public sector for over 5 years, assisting users in procuring, evaluating, managing and completing cost effective Internet and Intranet application projects such as bespoke systems, COTS and SaaS systems (e.g. Java, .Net, SharePoint). My job scope also includes requesting and managing the budget and cashflow, redesigning business processes that resulted in lowering of operational costs and ensuring compliance to the security and IT policies. I have also managed System Integration (SI) projects in the private sector from 2003 to 2009, and lead teams to successfully develop enterprise systems, including mobile systems, using different technologies like Java, J2EE, J2SE, RFID, Dot Net, and Sharepoint. I was also involved in design and development of products using different technologies such as Java, J2EE, J2SE, Dot Net, RFID, and XCode (Mac).
