Biography

Bhardwaj Velamakanni is a Management & Process Consultant, Enterprise, Team and Technical Agile Coach, Evangelist, Trainer & Transition specialist and has been practicing agile approaches since 2002. Prior to the agile life, he played multiple roles in IT/Software development and Process Management areas as a Scrum Master, Senior Project/Program/Delivery Manager, Software Solutions Architect, Business Analyst, C++ & Java Developer/Lead and Research Fellow. 

With over 22 years of experience and more than 11 years in the Agile world, he has successfully led Agile transitions, programs and projects from inception to delivery for multiple clients. He also has more than 6 years of experience in coaching Agile teams. He possesses a strong technical background, having played multiple roles including that of Developer, Business Systems Analyst, Technical Architect, Project/Program Manager, Process Manager, Scrum Master, Agile Coach & Transition consultant during his career.  He trained, mentored, coached and transitioned more than 40 teams and 400 people to Agile and rolled out Agile practices. Implemented and tailored large-scale Agile frameworks for program-level transition based on XP, Scrum, Kanban, Scrumban and SAFe with strong emphasis on customizing the methodologies and frameworks for a client context. His engagement experience covers many industries including healthcare, publishing, high-tech, retail, hospitality, insurance and eCommerce. Apart from Agile methodologies, his past experience spans RUP based project delivery & management, Architecting the systems and solutions, Business & Requirements Analysis, Systems Design, Process & Quality management and Programming/Coding in C++ and Java.  Largest program coached consisted of 140 people over 16 teams.
