Brent Compton is a 21-year veteran of the technology industry who has provided executive leadership for both technology-producing and technology-consuming businesses. Recent roles include VP Global Product Management at a $150M software company and Chief Information Officer at the largest international standard-setting and accreditation body for health care institutions. His global perspective comes from having lived on 3 continents and managed product portfolios sold in global markets.
In VP-level and business leadership positions at Micromuse (IBM acquisition, 2006, $865M), Hewlett-Packard (NYSE: HPQ), and Agilent Technologies (NYSE: A) he managed software product portfolios through hyper-growth, turn-around, and business maturity phases. As CIO for Joint Commission International and Joint Commission Resources (health care), he staffed 3 teams, led the creation of SaaS products nearing 100,000 customer visits per month, successfully deployed leading CRM and consulting management software, and re-built the company's web and IT infrastructure. During his early hands-on years, Brent held senior consultant and instructor roles in HP's Professional Services Organization. Brent holds a Bachelors Degree in Computer Science from Weber State University and has studied business with the University of Denver Executive MBA and Graduate Certificate in Finance programs.
