Anu Smalley didn't find her calling - she built it, one credential and one person at a time.

Her story began in Hyderabad, India, where she earned a Master's in Psychology from Osmania University - a grounding in how people think, what motivates them, and why they resist change. After an MBA from Bowling Green State University, she spent years across software engineering, project management, IT leadership, and consulting. By the time she became a Certified Scrum Trainer in 2015, she'd lived inside the problems Agile was built to solve.

Today she's CEO of Capala Consulting Group, Co-Founder of Team KatAnu, and Co-Founder of Eolas Labs (AI education and products). Her credentials - CST, CEC, PMP, and CPCC, ICF-PCC - each represent a discipline mastered.

What makes Anu singular is where she sits: trained in psychology, seasoned across 25+ years in tech and leadership, now working at the AI frontier. Her belief: AI is a powerful collaborator for output, but humans must own the outcome.

As the first woman of color and the first Indian woman to earn the CST, she mentors minority candidates across India, Africa, and the US, advocating for an Agile community that reflects the world it aims to transform.
