Amitabha Sarkar

Amitabha Sarkar is an architect with FIS global-buy side. His focus is to develop features in their leading fund accounting product, InvestOne. Prior to joining FIS Global, Amitabha was working as a Senior Specialist at Capgemini’s Financial Services Strategic Business Unit. In his seven year tenure with Capgemini, he handled variety of roles such as Development lead at onsite and offshore, pre-sales, hiring and recruitment, training and mentoring in mainframe practice. Amitabha has prior experience of leading and executing complex projects of top Indian organizations such as Syntel and Kanbay for four years. He has global exposure of working in North America and Europe, with project domains in fund accounting, credit cards, insurance and credit rating. Amitabha is passionate about agile practices in scrum and contributed effectively in migration of his business unit to agile at his current organization and is actively involved in the scrum master's community of practice. Amitabha has versatile interests ranging from reading, drawing cartoons, fitness, data science with R and Python programming, Automation using Autohotkey. Amitabha received his Bachelor of Engineering (Electrical) from Mumbai University.
