A.J. Mazepa

A.J. Mazepa is a scrum master at Canadian Tire Corporation. A creative problem solver and remote work pioneer, he has over 20 years of software development experience. His career in digital began as a Flash developer and managing a web development startup prior to joining one of Canada’s largest retailers.

Always passionate for learning, in 2015 he was the technical lead for the development of a revolutionary in-house learning experience platform and Learning Management System integration project. In 2016 he won the Learning Guild’s award for best game-based solution for his role in the development of a custom gamified learning experience.

After being promoted to Manager, Learning Experience Technology he won the company’s top award for breakthrough thinking for the development and launch of the Triangle Learning Academy – an enterprise-wide learning technology platform leveraged by over 35k employees. An empiricist and servant leader he is now the Scrum Master for an interdisciplinary squad of high-performing developers.

A.J. lives with his wife in Northern Ontario, Canada where he can be found riding his dirt bike or e-scooter when not attending scrum events.
