Alberto Janza

In his years as CTO in Europe and United States, Alberto has managed local and remote tech forces up to 30 members. He has lead the tech direction of products and companies in diverse fields: healthcare, e-commerce, agriculture, social media, postal, etc. He has worked with big corporations some of them between the fortunate 500, and has lead a business incubator with a focus on bootstrapping start-ups. 

He has re-vamped tech architectures, and tech forces in situations where the survival of a company was at stake. Alberto has transformed skill-centric-silo tech structures into cross-functional product oriented structures. He is a big advocate of a culture of continues learning and cross-functional teams. He has successfully used the implementation of continues learning to train and coach workforces in new work methodologies, working dynamics, and new tech frameworks. To mention some: DevOPs, new software development frameworks, Big Data stacks, Cloud/AWS, Holacracy, Lean Start-up, Agile, machine learning, pair programming, Git flows, etc

Alberto has been hands-on playing different roles like Data Engineer, DevOPs, SCRUM master, Technical Program Manager, and Software Engineer. Some of his recent projects:

• Implementation of machine learning/collaborative filtering recommendation engines for e-commerce platforms
• Re-architecture, and migration of 17 year old big data process architecture from premise to AWS. From SQL-server back-end to Hadoop, Spark, Cassandra, Parquet, S3, REdshift back-ends.  
• Implementation of HIPAA compliant architecture for online counseling. 
• Scalability of Big Data processes
