About
Andrew Clinch
After training and working as a Software Engineer in various industries, I progressively moved into the area of facilitation and delivery of software projects. Having had exposure to some of the early approaches of Extreme Programming in my teams, I found the application of agile approaches to development as some of the more productive ways to develop technology solutions. Naturally this prompted a move to Scrum as my preferred approach to these deliveries.
From 2008 onwards I have been involved primarily as a Scrum Master in various software and technology projects, delivering value to businesses across a number of different domains such as Finance, Insurance, Online Retail and Utilities. My software background has always helped in the role of "mediator" between the teams I've worked with, and the requirements and vision of the businesses I've worked with, embodied by my Product Owners.
Most recently I have had experience at running Scrum teams in delivering non-software solutions (such as compliance outcomes in the Finance industry), which has given me an insight into the applicability and value of Scrum as a mindset and approach to delivering results, regardless of the nature of the deliverable required.
