Understand and apply an agile framework for project management – Scrum. This course allows delegates to gain an appreciation of the Scrum framework and how to apply it in their own context. A varied mix of both theory and practical exercises, makes this a popular choice for clients wishing to start a more agile journey towards a high-quality and frequent delivery structure.. This course is aimed at all members of a delivery team, and will introduce the roles and responsibilities within an effective Scrum team.

Feedback from my most recent courses:

“I thoroughly enjoyed my 2 day Scrum Master Certification with Paul. By the end of it I felt confident in my knowledge and satisfied with the training. I've already recommended other would be Scrum Masters attend his certification course.” April 13, 2010

“Paul was my trainer when I took my CSM (certified scrum master) course here in Nokia. I learnt a lot from the activities. The course was dynamic and entertaining (not a dull moment!). It made me realise by doing the activities how a scrum works and delivers. After it I had a very good understanding about agile and the scrum that I have already put in practise with my scrum team. I reckon Paul is a good communicator and gets the main points across not only by explaining but also by making the trainee think and realise about the facts by doing the activities. I would definitely recommend Paul as a trainer.” April 13, 2010

“Having recently attending a course run by Paul, I would recommend him to anyone seeking a effective Scrum trainer. Paul manages to successfully combine a deep understanding of the principles of Scrum, together with a creative and practical training style.” April 21, 2010

The core agenda of a Certified ScrumMaster course is set by the Scrum Alliance and will cover all of the aspects of the Scrum framework and lifecycle. These elements will be augmented by the individual Trainer's experiences and specific areas of interest can be accommodated so please contact us. A standard agenda would look like:

What is Scrum?
Release Planning
The Product Backlog
Estimating
What is done?
Prioritisation
Sprint Planning
Aspects of a Scrum Team
The Daily Scrum
Sprint Reviews
Sprint Terminations
Reporting & Managing a Release
Q&A

Anyone interested in starting a Scrum project or wishing to improve their current Scrum implementation. Naturally intended for those taking on the ScrumMaster role, it is equally useful for any Scrum team member.

The course is open to anyone working as part of development team - developers, testers, designers, business analysts, project managers, architects etc. The course requires no background in scrum, all you need to bring is an open mind.
