Zack Dawood is a Canada-based Technology Leader, Author, and Speaker with 20+ years of experience across 13 countries in North America, Europe, and Asia. He currently serves as Vice President Consulting Delivery at CGI Canada, leading a cross-functional Product Engineering team of 200+ professionals delivering wealth management technology to major financial institutions including TD, RBC, Scotiabank, and CIBC.
A committed Scrum Alliance member since October 2009, Zack holds six Scrum Alliance credentials: CSM, CSPO, A-CSPO, CAL 1, CAL 2, and CSP-SM. His broader portfolio spans 50+ certifications across cloud, AI, architecture, and process frameworks, including Google Cloud Professional Cloud Architect, Gen AI Leader (Google Cloud), Agentic AI on AWS, TOGAF 9.2, SAFe Agilist & Practitioner, ITIL V3, FinOps, and Prosci ADKAR.
Zack has led enterprise-scale Agile transformations, most notably heading the Agile Center of Excellence at a major Canadian bank, managing a $150 million digital transformation program and implementing Agile Scrum, Kanban, and DevOps CI/CD practices across the enterprise. He has trained, mentored, and coached 500+ professionals worldwide on Agile, Scrum, and technology practices.
A recognized thought leader, Zack is the co-author of Building Microservices with Micronaut® and has delivered keynotes at the IIBA Toronto Chapter, Toronto Agile Summit, and Toastmasters District Conference. He has presented at 40+ national symposiums on technology and process innovation.
Since November 2018, Zack has served as Board Director and President of a non-profit organization, bringing governance experience, fiduciary responsibility, and mission-driven leadership to everything he does. He is a Distinguished Toastmaster (DTM) and two-time Toastmasters of the Year award recipient (2015 & 2018, Districts 86 & 60).
Zack actively volunteers with United Way, Make-A-Wish Canada, One Walk, and Toastmasters International. He is a Canadian citizen based in Toronto, Ontario.
