Karen Gillison

As an analytical software engineer and project manager, Karen has demonstrated a commitment to developing high quality web applications to enable her clients to get products to market faster. Through time tested and assured processes, Karen consistently delivers results.

Throughout her career, she has worked on more than 30 web applications for various commercial, non-profit and government clients. These diverse applications include social-networking sites, web-video platforms, e-commerce, intranets  and content-management systems. She has built complex tools to create customized surveys with big data/data analysis capabilities as well as web applications with full multilingual support, translated into eight languages (including Asian character sets).

Karen takes an active role in encouraging and supporting women to join in careers in the Science, Technology, Engineering and Mathematics (STEM) fields. Karen has coached and sponsored several Rails Girls events, which focus on giving tools and community support to women of all backgrounds and experience levels who want to learn software development.
