Eric OBrien

Eric O’Brien is an Executive Coach, IT leader, and transformation architect with 18 years of enterprise experience delivering Agile change across Telecom, Banking, Mortgage, Insurance, Supply Chain, and Military sectors. He specializes in multi‑level Agile transformations from Portfolio to Program to Team creating true partnerships between business and technology to deliver the highest value in the shortest sustainable lead time.

Eric integrates the SAFe® 6.0 framework, Scrum, Lean Portfolio Management, and value stream alignment with modernized tooling ecosystems (Jira, RallyDev, Jira Align, Aha!, RTC) to enable metrics‑driven, hybrid‑ready delivery. His approach blends cognitive automation with human oversight, building resilient systems, adaptive workflows, and teams capable of thriving through market and organizational change.

A passionate educator, Eric has delivered 58+ Scaled Agile, Inc. courses nationwide, including 12 Implementing SAFe® sessions alongside leading SPCTs Dwayne Stroman, Vikas Kapila, Christopher Ruch, Charles Maddox, Matt Aaron, Sukie Kang, Susan Shreve, SAFe Fellow Ken France, and Phil Gardiner. He designs and facilitates Scrum Master and Product Owner Boot Camps for new practitioners, product development workshops for business leaders, and Agile leadership sessions for executives.

Eric holds a Master’s in Computer Science (Interactive Intelligence) from Georgia Tech and serves as a Post‑Graduate Instructor Associate in the OMSCS program.
