Eric OBrien

Eric is an Executive Coach and IT leader versed in Agile Organization Transformation, leveraging 18 years of deep and diverse experience in Enterprise IT in Telecom, Banking, Mortgage, Insurance, and Military organizations. Eric specializes in Enterprise Agile Transformations that create a true partnership between business and IT to deliver the highest value in the shortest sustainable delivery time. His focus is multi-level, not just team-level. Eric's experience is analyzing current delivery environments, developing transformation strategies to Agile methodologies and the Scrum/SAFe 6.0 Framework, establishing Portfolio and Program levels, mentoring, and coaching Agile Teams. Eric takes a pragmatic approach to Agile adoption while maintaining the principles that make Agile successful. His experience spans Portfolio, Program, and Team levels. He has written and instructed Agile training curriculum for Scrum Master, Product Owner Boot Camps aimed at new team members without Agile experience, and Product Development workshops for Business Owners. As a SAFe – Scaled Agile Framework instructor, Eric has taught over 58 public/private Scaled Agile Inc. courses across the United States, 12 of them the Implementing SAFe course with the following SPCTs: Dwayne Stroman, Vikas Kapila, Christopher Ruch, Charles Maddox, Matt Aaron, Sukie Kang, Susan Shreve and Ken France (SAFe Fellow) Eric has a relentless passion for education and received his master’s in computer science at Georgia Tech in Computer Science & Interactive Intelligence. In addition, he has remained a Post Graduate Instructor Associate for the Georgia Tech Online Master of Science Computer Science (OMSCS) program for over five years. Eric maintains the following certifications: SAFe Program Consultant (SPC6.0), SAFe Release Train Engineer (6.0), CSPO - Certified Product Owner, CSM - Certified Scrum Master, CSP - Certified Scrum Professional, PMP - Project Management Professional Certification, ICAgile Certified Professional – Agile Coaching, Six Sigma Green Belt, ICAgile ATF-ICP, and Certified Agile Leadership Essentials (CAL-E). Eric founded the Scaled Agile Leadership Network Meetup in Dallas/Fort Worth.
