John Shea

I’m John Shea, a senior project manager in information technology and certified Project Management Professional (PMP). I’ve managed projects through the systems development life cycle for over ten years, building and managing project teams and project plans, managing milestones, deliverables and budgets, and working with customers to define their requirements and meet their needs.

Prior to LeapFrog Systems, I was Program Manager at the Center for Health Care Financing of Commonwealth Medicine and UMass Medical School where I implemented Agile with Scrum for new project development. Formerly I was Director of Engineering at NameMedia, Inc., responsible for SmartName.com. At NameMedia, I successfully implemented Agile with Scrum, and trained the development and business teams, and technical directors.

I have a strong background as a business analyst and programmer, designing and building applications in numerous technologies and industries including financial services, healthcare, pharmaceuticals, hospitality, and engineering. I’ve managed the development and market introduction of a browser-based document management software, and the 40-person branch of an international consulting company.

As a professional services consultant, I have provided technical sales support, writing successful statements of work and RFP responses.

I have been a director of a dynamic and growing $500 million bank in Boston, and have an MBA from Boston University.
