How to Add Students to a Course

 

Getting Started

  1. Login at: https://www.scrumalliance.org/login

    1. Enter username and password.
    2. Click the LOGIN button.
    3. Click the dashboard link at the top of the screen on the right-hand side.
  2. Navigate to the Courses tab on the left-hand side of your dashboard home screen. 

  3. Find your course listings at the bottom of the page.

  4. Find the course for which you'd like to add students, and click the Load Students icon next to that course. (The Load Students icon looks like a group of people.)

 

Add Students Wizard

  1. You will be taken to the "Add Students" wizard for the course you chose. Check the top of the page to make sure you have selected the correct course. Loading students on the wrong course type requires developer time to correct.

  2. The first page of this screen is for bulk upload. You'll want to have your data in the following order: Last name, first name, email address.

    1. NOTE: This screen is for bulk upload. If you prefer, you may use the .csv upload or skip to the next step (Step 2 of 3) and manually enter the student data into individual fields. (Click NEXT at the bottom of the screen.)
  3. When using the bulk upload feature, in the large text field labeled "Last name, first name, email address," enter student data with each field separated by tabs or commas. You can copy student data from an Excel spreadsheet and paste the information directly into the text field.

    1. NOTE: You may only load one list per course. Please have the complete list available before continuing.

  4. Click "Next" when the complete list has been uploaded or when you want to skip to the next step.

  5. The data you entered in Step 1 will be displayed in Step 2.

    1. Verify that the data is correct or make any necessary corrections/additions before continuing.

    2. You can click "Add another row" to add additional students.

    3. Click "Create Students" to add the students listed to our database.

  6. On the next screen (step 3), you will receive verification of the number of students you added. You will also see a list of the user accounts that were created.

    1. You can go back to the dashboard from here or click "Continue to Payment" to pay for and activate students.

    2. If you do not pay for the students at this time, you will be able to do so later using the $ icon next to the course on your dashboard.
