This is an engaging and interactive training session led by Valerio Zanini, a Certified Scrum Trainer and Certified Product Innovation Trainer. You will work on a real product idea and apply the practices that you learn in class to develop that idea and plan a new product. My name is Valerio Zanini, and I am a Certified Scrum Trainer, an agile consultant, and a product management trainer. In my professional career, I have led several product teams and launched multi-million dollar digital products. I am the author of Deliver Great Products that Customers Love and AI for Product Managers.
I have spent my career in product development working with product and agile teams at various companies, before becoming a trainer. In my classes I bring real-life experience working with Scrum teams, building products, and helping teams improve the way they work. I have been a Product Owner, a Product Manager, and a Product Leader, and I have helped entire organizations adopt Scrum and product practices more effectively. I share the successes and the failures, the challenges and the wins. I have used the techniques we learn in class, and adapted some when needed.

This Certified Scrum Product Owner (CSPO certification) class teaches how to become an effective Product Owner and apply product management techniques to any project. The class is approved by the Scrum Alliance and covers all the learning objectives for the CSPO certification. Participants also learn in-depth practices and frameworks that Product Owners use to effectively build great products with a Scrum team. I have extended the traditional CSPO curriculum with AI fundamentals and exercises for Product Managers.
All my classes have a mix of theory and practice. I want you to leave the class with both the knowledge and the experience needed to be an effective Product Owner. That's why in each module you spend a bit of time learning the key concepts and theory, and then you apply what you learned to a real-life product idea. We use a product simulation throughout the class to practice acting as a Product Owner and making decisions on your product. While you do that, you also receive coaching on how to use the frameworks, and how to improve.
The class is divided in sprints, so you also practice running a sprint and doing the various activities for Sprint Planning, Sprint Review, and Retrospective. We use Burn-up charts to track the progress of the work toward completing the class. And we use velocity and estimation in story points to plan each sprint.

The class is based on interactive exercises, simulations, and practice. The format of this course is not the traditional college-based lecture with 400 slides where you fall asleep. Max class size: Limited number of 16 students for focused attention with the instructor and more air-time for questions and discussions.
