Certified ScrumMaster Course Summary

This intensive two-day course will prepare attendees to take on the ScrumMaster role, and is taught by Scrum Alliance Certified Scrum Trainer (CST) Angela Johnson. During the course, students will cover pragmatic, long and short-range planning, Scrum values, roles, events, activities and artifacts.

CLASS OVERVIEW

Why This Class?

Real world case studies from the instructor's experience will be shared as well as a full in-class simulation for participants to experience what's different from a traditional System Development Life Cycle vs. Scrum.

Scrum Alliance Membership

The first two years of your Scrum Alliance membership is included in the course giving you access to the Scrum Alliance community and forum, webinars, content, event discounts and more!

Certification Readiness

Any student successfully completing the course is eligible to take the online CSM quiz. Immediately following this CSM course, students may stay at the West End Conference Center taking advantage of the free WiFi and adult beverages to take the quiz. No need to wait to complete the process!

Prerequisites

None! This is an entry level course for anyone looking to do work differently.  Here are just some of the people who have attended our courses:

Certification

After taking the 2-day Certified ScrumMaster course, students are eligible to take the CSM Exam online through the Scrum Alliance website. It has 50 questions and has a 60 minute time limit to complete. Candidates may bookmark questions and change answers to questions before submitting. Classes held at the West End Conference Center provide a post-class environment for immediate test taking.  

What happens if I fail the CSM Exam?

Students who do not pass the CSM exam the first time may re-take the exam immediately (no "cooling off" period required) or take it again any time within the 90-day period at no additional charge. After the 90-day period, CSM candidates must pay $25 to re-take the exam. After three (3) attempts it is recommended that the CSM candidate take another CSM course before being permitted to re-take the exam.
