I was first introduced to Agile methodology while working on a Digital Messaging team as a Process Improvement Analyst.  They were starting Agile, and our team began doign daily standups with a kanban board. There was no training, just a quick intro to the basics of daily standup routines.  Wanting to know more, I dug into to some online training and reading, educating my team members on more of the what and the why of what we were doing each day. I was then able to turn this knowledge into a Product Owner position, where I found myself in the same position: doing before learning. To remedy this, I became a Certified Scrum Product Owner.  

I then found myself wanting to know more about the details of the role my Scrum Master played. I took the training and obtained my Certified Scrum Master certification.  Knowing and understanding both sides of the process opened my eyes to the challenges on each side and how we could address them on our team.  I went on to get my CSM, CSPO, CSP and SAFe RTE certifications.

Today, I am an Agile Program Lead for a portfolio of 11 teams,leading a team of 3 Agilisits. I've become a mentor to new Scrum Masters even as I have continued my learning.  I also started my own Financial Coaching company and are utlizing Agile practices within in.  I look forward to the next steps in my Agile journey!
