Kim’s CSPO workshop was fantastic. She makes the learning relatable and easy to understand, with techniques you can use right away in the real world. Kim has a cool way of facilitating and keeps you awake and fully engaged. I walked in with a different perspective on what a Product Owner role was and came out with a new perspective that does make sense. If you’re thinking about taking this class, you absolutely should. Thank you so much Kim!

Kim’s CSPO workshop was an incredible experience. The techniques she teaches are invaluable, but you have to come in with an open mind. Leave your organization’s way of doing and politics at the door. If you’re willing to unlearn, then learn, and actually experience the role of a Product Owner, this workshop will be a game changer.
Kim is extremely knowledgeable and endlessly PATIENT, and it’s obvious how much she cares about her students. She doesn’t just teach you. She will challenge you and give you an experience.
If you’re expecting a technical class, this isn’t that kind of class—because Product Ownership isn’t about being a technical expert. It’s about understanding users, identifying real needs, and creating products that deliver meaningful value. Kim brings this to life in a way that finally clicks.
You’re getting a hands-on, engaging experience that will genuinely shift the way you think about product work. I would suggest taking the CSM first. It was clear that some in our class needed that first.

I felt like the course wasn’t completely suited to my learning style. The high level concepts and overall journey of what we were learning didn’t seem to come into play until day 2 of the course. Also, there was another class member that dominated a lot of the conversation and it became hard to follow and keep engaged.

Certified Scrum Product Owner®
Taught by: Kim Brainard
Join an unconventional training where you learn by doing—not by sitting through slides. No lectures. Just real stories, hands-on practice, and an engaging virtual vibe that feels in-person. Come curious, leave certified (and maybe a little fired up to change the game).
Certified Scrum Product Owner® (CSPO) – Foundations of User Value
This Certified Scrum Product Owner® (CSPO) workshop is a foundational, mindset-shifting experience for professionals who want to move beyond managing backlogs and start owning real user value.
This is not a technical class. You will not be writing code, estimating story points, or debating tooling.
Instead, this workshop focuses on what great Product Owners actually do: understand users deeply, define value clearly, and make better product decisions.
What Makes This CSPO Different
Most Product Owner classes lean heavily toward process mechanics or technical assumptions. This one does not.
This workshop is grounded in:
Jobs-to-be-Done (JTBD) thinking
User-value–driven development
Outcome-focused product decisions
Real-world product discovery and prioritization
You’ll learn how to think like a Product Owner—not just play the role.
Who This Workshop Is For
This class is ideal for:
Product Owners and Product Managers
Business leaders and stakeholders
Marketing, operations, HR, and non-technical professionals
Anyone responsible for deciding what to build and why
No technical background is required. If your value comes from understanding customers, users, or business outcomes—you’re in the right place.
What You’ll Learn
In this highly interactive, hands-on workshop, you will:
Learn how to identify real user needs using Jobs-to-be-Done
Shift from output-focused thinking to outcome-driven product decisions
Practice defining value from the user’s perspective—not internal assumptions
Connect user problems to Product Goals and backlog decisions
Understand the Product Owner’s accountability as the voice of the customer
You’ll work through practical examples and collaborative exercises designed to mirror real product challenges—without the technical noise that often clouds product thinking.
Designed to help concepts stick, not just be heard
Certification
Upon completion of the workshop, participants will:
Receive the Certified Scrum Product Owner® (CSPO) certification from Scrum Alliance
Earn Scrum Alliance SEUs
Leave with practical tools and a clearer understanding of how to create value as a Product Owner
Bottom Line
If you’re looking for a technical deep dive, this isn’t it. If you want to become a better Product Owner by learning how to define, prioritize, and deliver user value, this workshop was built for you.

We take 7-minute breaks every 1 hour and 15 minutes.

Short breaks are built in to keep energy and focus high.
💬 How We Work Together
Be ready to speak, share, and collaborate.
Respect differing perspectives and keep conversations professional and inclusive.
Stay curious, ask questions, and lean into the discomfort of learning something new.
🛠️ Tech Readiness
Test your camera, microphone, and internet ahead of time.
Have the ability to use collaboration tools (Zoom features, shared boards, chat, etc.).
Join from a computer or tablet—phones are not sufficient for participation.
Bottom Line
This workshop is designed to be engaging, fast-moving, and impactful. These expectations aren’t about being strict—they’re about creating the conditions for a great experience and meaningful learning for everyone involved.
If this level of engagement doesn’t work for you right now, it’s better to wait for a session when it does.
