Our Certified ScrumMaster course will provide you with the fundamental principles of Scrum, a deep understanding of when to use Scrum, and hands on experiences using Scrum. Taught by popular Scrum trainer and author Mitch Lacey, each student will receive a copy of The Scrum Field Guide, Agile Advice for your First Year, and Beyond as part of attending the class.

About three hours of recorded video to watch before the course, allowing for interactive and engaging live sessions, free of put-you-to-sleep lecture

Concise, three-to-seven question quizzes after each video module to help you retain what you've learned.
Upon course completion, students will be qualified and ready to pass the Scrum Alliance certification exam. This online exam is required to become a Scrum Alliance Certified ScrumMaster. Also included is a a two-year membership in the Scrum Alliance, where additional ScrumMaster-only material and information are available.
Daily Live Class Attendance
During these sessions there will be live discussions and group exercises facilitated by your instructor via Zoom. Zoom is easy to use online meeting and video conferencing software and you’ll receive full instructions about how to join your online class after you register.
Before each live class you will receive some videos to watch for that specific class. You will need to watch those videos before you attend the live class, so you are prepared to discuss them. The course format consists of multiple lecture topics, group exercises and group discussion. Ample time will be devoted to analysis of the “real-world” industry experiences of the ScrumMaster Course instructor based on case study examples and his experience managing Agile projects and coaching Scrum teams.
At the end of this course, successful participants will be eligible to take the Scrum Alliance Certified ScrumMaster exam, a multiple-choice online test that starts you on your journey to a successful transformation. Additionally, you will receive a complimentary two-year membership to the Scrum Alliance, which provides you discounts to Scrum Gatherings, allows you access to member-only content such as past Gathering videos, and more.

Upon course completion, students will be qualified and ready to pass the Scrum Alliance certification exam.

About your Instructor - Mitch Lacey, PMP, ACP
Mitch Lacey is an agile practitioner and trainer. Mitch has been managing projects for over fifteen years & is credited with many plan-driven & agile projects. He is the author of “The Scrum Field Guide”, a book targeting teams adopting Agile and Scrum practices.
Mitch honed his agile skills at Microsoft Corporation, where he successfully released core enterprise services for Windows Live. Mitch’s first agile team at Microsoft was coached by Ward Cunningham, Jim Newkirk & David Anderson.
While at Microsoft, he transitioned from Program Manager to Agile Coach, working hand-in-hand with groups throughout their transition to Agile practices. After Microsoft, Mitch was the Agile Practice Manager at Ascentium Corporation where he practiced agility on the projects he ran every day while coaching customers on agile practices and lessons on agile adoption worldwide.
As a Certified Scrum Trainer (CST), PMI Project Management Professional (PMP®) and Agile Certified Practitioner (ACP®), Mitch shares his experience in project and client management through Scrum Alliance Certified Scrum courses, agile coaching engagements, conference presentations, blogs & white papers.
He has published many papers including “Adventures in Promiscuous Pairing”, “Transitioning to Agile: Key Lessons Learned in the Field”, “The Impacts of Poor Estimating - & How to Fix It”, a variety of papers for Microsoft and “Immersive Interviewing - Building Great Agile Software Teams”.
He has keynoted and presented at a variety of conferences including the Agile Alliance “Agile” conference, the Better Software Conference, the SQE Agile Development Practices conference, Microsoft TechEd, Microsoft ALM Forum, Scrum Alliance User Groups in South Africa, China, Vietnam and more.
