What do drummers in a rock band and Agilists have in common? A lot, if you were to ask trainer, Mark Palmer. A forever-musician turned Agile Coach, Mark’s calling is to bring teams together to work joyfully, collaboratively and with ease. By utilizing “Back of the Room” techniques, he teaches others the art of learning by doing, and focuses on making class an interactive experience, not a lecture. His favorite quote is by drummer Neil Peart, “The point of the journey is not to arrive,” and applies that Agile mindset in his courses and everyday life. 

Mark is a firm believer that one can utilize Agile thinking in every area of life - as he embraces this philosophy in his family, career, and band. Having worked on both the business and IT side of organizations as a project manager and software developer, Mark’s passion is bridging the gaps in teams. After class, students leave encouraged to create change in their organization and are equipped with the tools necessary to foster better outlooks and opportunities in their life and work.  In addition to training Agile courses, Mark consults leading companies and executives on using Agile for strategy, planning, and delivery.
