Deeply involved in software industry since 1996, I went thru multiple classical software methodologies to develop software, always coming to the same conclusion, it’s not working very well. Up to a poit where I eared about Agile and Scrum approach. And when digging into those approaches, the rationale for why we were more or less failing till now, appeared to me as a revelation. It’s obvious! The software industry took the problem in the wrong way and Agile is just looking this world from the right perspective, starting from the root causes in order to address the consequences, instead of trying to fix the symptoms.

Therefore I started to be fully passionate by Agile/Scrum and become right away an agile practitioner and advocate. Started in Kollmorgen with one scrum team, then scale it up to 2 teams and finally to 3 teams. I started as PO and then became chief PO, coordinating the PO together. Passionate as well by coaching and improving the way we worked, followed multiple coaching class in order to help the team growing and improving…

Inside Danaher, I then started to become internal scrum coach/advocate and trained teams to scrum and facilitate their transition to scrum by facilitating some Lean Software Development kaizen to accompany those teams in their transition.

Kollmorgen is an international leading provider of motion systems for machine manufacturers providing motors, drives and controls. My areas of responsibilities are on the controls part of the business. Joined Kollmorgen with dual responsibilities as program manager and software manager being responsible to deliver the 1st version of the Kollmorgen Automation Suit (KAS) and ensure its future evolution to meet market and customer needs. Enrolled in Danaher Key Talent program. SENIOR PROGRAM MANAGER – Responsible for KAS program (HW platform plus its embedded and GUI application) Budget of $27M and 35+ engineers located in Switzerland, US, Germany, Italy, Turkey, India, Brazil. Main responsibilities _ Synchronize and manage cross-functional teams to deliver the product: mechanical , electronic and software _ Product development, delivering on time features and quality to meet revenue and constant growth _ Product vision and strategy: manage roadmap with marketing, customers and application engineers: VOC _ Report monthly project status - budget planning and tracking – PO, OPEX and CAPEX _ Manage 3 Scrum product owners to ensure team coordination/coherent delivery – technical specifications _ Manage closely external key providers: roadmap, specifications, delivery and quality, trainings Key achievements _ Delivered on-time a complete automation solution, with the product line revenue doubling every year _ Delivered a new breakthrough controller platform, based on new HW and RTOS, within a year _ For the last 3y, all product release averaging on-time delivery of 95% (2 releases per year) _ Improved product quality drastically: # of defect raised by customer / release divided by 6 GLOBAL SOFTWARE MANAGER – Manage the local and remote scrum team in India, 15+ direct reports with direct responsibility for the software sub-system. GE Security Visiowave is a leading international company in the video surveillance domain providing cutting-edge technology in IP video compression, streaming, storage and intelligent video analytics. Joined Visiowave during its acquisition by GE and drove the transition from local to global environment. Reorganized the software team to successfully achieved a complete technology and product line renewal in 2 years - Rated GE Top Talent GLOBAL SOFTWARE MANAGER – led 20+ software engineers in Switzerland, US, India, and Poland. Responsible for the CCTV product line complete software. Managed complex, cross-platform software projects in C/C++ and C#. Six years holding various responsibilities from software developer, through software architect and team leader while acting as co-founder of I-magus. SOFTWARE TEAM LEADER – responsible for the overall software of photography minilab system (complex low level software, highly multithreaded in C/C++, real time embedded software and a powerful GUI for end-users). Main responsibilities: _ Software responsibility from specification to product delivery in addition to level 2 support _ In charge of the complete software coordination with Kodak, the company’s main OEM customer _ Cross functional coordination with the mechanical, optical, electronic and product integration teams _ Project planning, prioritization, task assignment and supervision _ Software release management (roadmap, beta versions, gold master) Key achievements: _ Delivered complete software platform, embedded & HMI software, managing the entire minilab product line _ Contributed significantly to the minilab product business, generating more than 150M€ revenue _ Hired and trained a team of 10+ software engineers (C/C++) and created a dedicated QA team SOFTWARE ARCHITECT AND DEVELOPER – Designed and developed from scratch the printer software for a new generation of minilab systems introducing new capabilities and intuitive end-user GUI while improving performance and quality. Key achievements: _ Contributed to win major Kodak OEM by redesigning the next gen minilab software doubling the throughput
