Cancer Research UK commenced delivery of its Supporter Relationship Management (SRM) programme in April 2008. This is a 3-5 year business transformation programme aiming to develop deeper relationships that realise the full potential of our 8m+ supporters. It is the most significant change that the Fundraising & Supporter Marketing (FSM) Directorate has embarked on in the last 10 years, and the programme is expected to deliver benefits in excess of £100m over 10 years.
As Scrum Master and Build Team Manager for the SRM programme, I facilitate and manage the delivery of incremental releases across multiple Scrum teams, each comprising a mix of Business Analysts, Developers and Testers.
• Day-to-day management of the development and test teams of 30 staff.
• Providing thought leadership in how Agile can be used to best effect within the programme
• Ensure that the programme continually strives to improve ways of working in delivery of software
• Provide Agile expertise to other areas of CRUK outside the SRM Programme.

All these projects involved working with international teams, clients and vendors day to day, reporting to senior management.
Unfortunately, this role ended in redundancy.
