Eric Aker

Eric Aker - Agile enthusiast, working under the Digital Product Management group for an e-commerce in the Greater Seattle area. My primary focus is to align the business and IT by communicating the customer requirements and technical constraints and risks both ways. Given my Agile experience, I also help analyze, track, and measure team and program performance when I'm not writing Features, Epics, and User Stories. Using my Scrum Master skills, I have the ability to read deeply into the common charts we use for our current Scrum teams, in order to facilitate conversations with specific Scrum team leads and leadership on the business side. I also advise key individuals on recommendations for practice and process for our program. I am active in the Agile community when I'm not busy with my day job. I have co-authored two articles for the Scrum Alliance around Agile Project Management with a former colleague of mine, who holds an active leadership role for the Puget Sound PMI chapter. We are planning to sync back up for the finale of our 3-part series that can be found on the Scrum Alliance site. I also participate in Seattle-based community groups around Liberating Structures, which focuses on practicing and developing innovative methods for Organizational development and change.
