Stephanie Coleman

Stephanie Knowles Coleman is a Scrum Master for Deluxe Corporation. Deluxe Rewards is an industry-leading provider of Rewards and Incentive programs and websites for Fortune 100 and 500 companies. Stephanie currently leads three cross-functional teams consisting of Quality Assurance Analysts and Front End and Back End Developers, as they develop, enhance, and support co-branded e-commerce websites for the company’s clients.

Stephanie has been in the Information Technology field for over 18 years, in a variety of industries such as Beverage and Entertainment, Fleet Management, GPS Software. Previous positions held include Programmer, Business Analyst and Project Manager in both waterfall and agile development environments.

Her decision to transition from a traditional Project Manager 3 years ago was the result of her exposure to the many benefits of the agile methodology related to planning efficiencies, greater project control and progress monitoring, and the opportunities scrum teams have to make impactful changes in the SDLC. Stephanie has found great satisfaction facilitating, coaching and leading scrum teams as they create their own success stories.

As she is still relatively new to the methodology, she endeavors to continue to strengthen her knowledge of Agile/Scrum, but to also become a more seasoned resource to her teams as they themselves become stronger in their mastery of the methodology.

Stephanie is also determined to help others in the community, including her own children to be able to apply agile principles and project management skills in their lives. Critical thinking, planning, forecasting, and journey mapping - all valuable skills of any project management methodology - have served her well in her career, and will likely be of great value to others.

Stephanie received a BS in Computer Information Systems from Florida A&M University and a MBA from Nova Southeastern University.
