Logistics

The Introduction to Real Agility™ learning event begins at 9:00am sharp and ends by 5:00pm each day (Eastern Time - Toronto / New York).

Please aim to arrive no later than 8:45am.

It is important that participants arrive on time and adhere to the lengths of each break.

There are three things you must do beforehand to prepare for the event.

1. Set up Zoom for video conferencing
2. Get familiar with Miro whiteboard collaboration

1. Set up Zoom for video conferencing

This event requires that you are connected to our Zoom video conference and have working audio and video turned on. This course is interactive and you must be "present" virtually.

We strongly recommend downloading and installing the Zoom.us Client for Meeting software on your laptop or desktop. If applications cannot be installed, you may use your web browser.

2. Get familiar with Miro whiteboard collaboration

Miro is a virtual real-time collaborative whiteboard. Much of the group work in the event will be done on Miro. You will be invited to a BERTEIG board at the start of the event.

Please watch this video to become more familiar with Miro.

To minimise disruptions, please make sure that Zoom and Miro are both working before joining the Learning Event.

Who is it for?

Introduction to Real Agility™ is recommended for almost anyone who is part of an Agile organisation; from junior staff to executives.

  • If you are new to agile ways of working or would like to learn the facts from the myths, this course is a valuable foundation on which to grow your career.
  • As a Private course; the Introduction to Real Agility™ gets your team to think outside of the status-quo and encourages them to make meaningful changes in their day-to-day.
  • As a Public course; the Introduction to Real Agility™ is great for networking and learning from peers, and a great start to an intensive path of certification.
  • If you are considering using Scrum or Kanban practices, this is a great opportunity to learn about the fundamental shift in mindset needed to ‘be Agile’ and why it matters before adopting agile frameworks!

The class is designed in a way to break down barriers that prevent us from learning across different departments and groups. All are welcome.
