Patrick Pent graduated from Auburn University with an MBA in 1996 and began his career with Andersen Consulting (now known as Accenture) where he supported numerous systems integration efforts as a programmer, analyst, and consultant. In 1999, he joined Southern Company as a Systems Analyst supporting the company's Customer Service System. After serving as an analyst for several years, Patrick became the Supervisor of the Financial Systems team in 2003, the Manager of the CSS Application Integrity Team in 2006, and then the Manager of the Application Services Testing Center of Excellence in 2008.
