Jennifer McMaster

Jennifer McMaster is the COO at Agile Aces since January, 2017. Agile Aces is a premier Scrum and Agile consultancy located in Philadelphia, PA. Jennifer holds both the Certified ScrumMaster Professional (CSP-SM) and Certified Scrum Product Owner Professional (CSP-PO) certifications. She has over 21 years of diverse industry experience, 15 years of project management experience, an MBA in Healthcare Administration, and she is also a PhD candidate in Biomedical Informatics. Jennifer possesses strong knowledge of practical experience in utilizing various project management and software development methodologies.

She first started working with Agile and Scrum in 2010 while employed at Olympus America, and has been a strong proponent of Scrum ever since. Jennifer has proven experience successfully managing multiple, complex, and international projects with up to 50 resources and budgets exceeding $20MM, including healthcare, pharmaceutical and software/web development projects from inception to completion (full SDLC/PLC), while managing scope, budget, and timeline to successfully complete projects on time and under budget. She is highly skilled at creating, assessing, and optimizing project management, Agile and Scrum processes, tools, systems and PMO Scrum maturity and establishing PMOs and Scrum frameworks within any sized organization.

At the Variant Group, for pharmaceutical and healthcare clients, Jennifer served as both Project Manager Director and ScrumMaster. Various projects included clinical research, drug development as well as software development and infrastructure. She facilitated daily Scrums, sprint planning, sprint demos and retrospective meetings while assisting the Product Owner in creating and maintaining the Product Backlog. She is also well versed in tasks, backlog tracking, burndown charts/metrics, velocity, user stories, continuous integration, and testing.

For United Healthcare under Optum, America’s largest health insurer, Jennifer was a Senior Project Manager and ScrumMaster on various projects. She led the successful implementation of new, cost-effective Medicare programs for various states. As a ScrumMaster, Jennifer worked with Product Owners and globally dispersed Scrum teams to deliver sprints and related functionality which provided significant business value to the organization.
