About

Title: Agile/Scrum Coach
Career Beginning: I began my career in 1989 as a bridge construction design engineer at Kaisei Tekko Corporation. However, unable to let go of my strong interest in the software field, I took a new path in engineering at Jce Corporation in November of the same year. During my approximately four years there, I was stationed at Hitachi Communication Systems, Inc., participating in the TRON project. I deepened my technical knowledge and experience by being involved in the development of a domestically produced operating system in Japan. Transition to Freelancing After Bankruptcy: Following an unexpected bankruptcy, I became an independent freelance engineer in 1993, continuing my contract with Hitachi Communication Systems and participating in NTT's exchange system development project. During this period, I tackled various technical challenges and developed software for different communication protocols. Shift from Development to Process Improvement: After getting married, I worked as a full-time employee at Maytech Corporation from 1995 to 1996. Then, as the first mid-career hire at Hitachi Communication Systems, I spent five years and eight months developing exchange systems and IP routers. Starting in 2002, at the invitation of a friend, I joined Sony Digital Network Applications, Inc., where I worked until 2013 on consumer camera development projects. There, I faced issues that couldn't be solved by technology alone, such as project failures, quality issues, and colleagues' mental health problems. I realized the importance of improving project management skills and process improvement across the organization. I worked as an engineer, process improvement coach, and agile coach, focusing on enhancing team productivity and project management skills. Recent Career: At WingArc 1st Corporation, I served as the head of the Quality Control Department, Product Quality Manager, and OSS Manager for about eight years. During this time, I leveraged my experience from Sony Digital Network Applications to dedicate myself to quality control and process improvement. In 2021, I was scouted by BizReach Corporation, where I currently hold the roles of process improvement coach and agile coach. Here, I utilize the DevOps approach to increase development transparency and employ the Four Keys metrics to measure improvements in development productivity. Additionally, I am leading organizational transformation by quantifying and visualizing the business impact of products through my proposed SODA (Software Outcome Delivery Architecture) concept. Expertise: I have extensive experience in areas such as lean development, Scrum, DevOps, team building, and product management. I hold numerous professional qualifications, including Certified Scrum Professional, Management 3.0, and PRINCE2® Foundation in project management. I excel in developing and nurturing product organizations while skillfully balancing quality, cost, delivery, and scope. Furthermore, I actively share my deep insights into agile development and project management at conferences and seminars both within and outside the industry, contributing to the dissemination of knowledge.
