About

Title: Lead Project Engineer

Michael Gerke

My scrum journey began over 15 years ago as a member of a Kanban team. We were able to produce features at a faster pace than the rest of the organization for several years. Other teams within our company then started to adapt Kanban for software production. Our team then transformed into a Scrum team. Again, we were able to produce software predictably and faster. From there, I began to lead a project using scrum. During this time, I became a CSM and CSPO to better help train the team. In 2015, I looked into becoming a CSP and, in 2016, became CSP. In 2017 I became a SAFe Release Train Engineer as well as a SAFe Program Consultant (training and upholding the principals of Scrum). I am currently working as a Project Engineer implementing scrum across many programs within my company (SAFe and non-SAFe).
