Logistics

The KMP II learning event begins at 9:00am sharp and ends by 5:00pm each day (Eastern Time - Toronto / New York).

Please aim to arrive no later than 8:45am.

It is important that participants arrive on time and adhere to the lengths of each break.

There are three things you must do beforehand to prepare for the event.

1. Complete pre-work at training.berteig.com  (if any)
2. Set up Zoom for video conferencing
3. Get familiar with Miro whiteboard collaboration

1. Complete pre-work at training.berteig.com

This is our portal to share training related files and content with participants. All participants are expected to have completed the preparatory work before the start of the class.

Failure to do so, will mean rescheduling and application of the $150 Rescheduling Fee.

2. Set up Zoom for video conferencing

This event requires that you are connected to our Zoom video conference and have working audio and video turned on. This course is interactive and you must be "present" virtually.

We strongly recommend downloading and installing the Zoom.us Client for Meeting software on your laptop or desktop. If applications cannot be installed, you may use your web browser.

3. Get familiar with Miro whiteboard collaboration

Miro is a virtual real-time collaborative whiteboard. Much of the group work in the event will be done on Miro. You will be invited to a BERTEIG board at the start of the event.

Please watch this video to become more familiar with Miro.

To minimise disruptions, please make sure that Zoom and Miro are both working before joining the Learning Event.

Who is it for?

The Kanban System Improvement® class is for those who take responsibility for improving delivery of products and services to customers and for those who want to optimise their businesses.

First and second line managers, project managers, product managers, experienced individual contributors and technical experts, Scrum Masters, business unit leaders, C-level executives, their improvement coaches and consultants.

  • If you have experience applying the Kanban method in their organizations and desire to keep momentum beyond the initial improvements realized from the Kanban system introduction;
  • If you need to ensure that better products and services lead to higher customer satisfaction and business performance and
  • If you want to grow a learning organization, where many such services connect and interact.

Who should NOT attend: people who are purely technical with no interest in improving work processes, people who are uncomfortable with group exercises and simulations (maybe you prefer lecture-only), people who don’t want their teams to improve.

This course is strongly recommended for Team Leads and HR Managers who are responsible for creating a high performance work environment, Managers who want to transform their organizations, and Project Managers who need to know how to work with Agile and Scrum teams.
