About

Teri Bylander-Pinke's journey started out a bit differently than most. She started as a litigation attorney in St. Paul. Shortly after her start, she determined this was not her ideal career. So, of course, she went into IT Project Management...it flowed so naturally you know, law into IT. Teri managed waterfall projects from $6K to $88MM, but still she felt something was missing. These projects seemed fraught with missed requirements and deadlines. Enter Scrum. Teri began reading all she could about this wild idea called Scrum and started to implement some of it’s crazy ideas into her projects (reviews, daily checkpoints, and iterations). Low and behold the customer satisfaction and timeliness of delivery seemed to be improving….WOW. Onto the next chapter, Teri was given the opportunity to manage a wonderfully creative web development team. What a perfect opportunity to implement permanent Scrum team’s she thought!! So she did and the teams experienced amazing customer satisfaction and delivered products no one thought they were capable of. One team increased the time it took to deliver a customer portal by 200%. AMAZING!! Teri thought. This is what I have been searching for; I need to share this success on a bigger scale. In the most current chapter, Teri is a Scrum Coach at Collaborative Leadership Team telling success stories, training, and coaching teams to reach their potential using Scrum.
